The U.S. Navy is requesting public comments on the Draft Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) regarding the adverse effects the Bremerton Waterfront Infrastructure Improvement project will have on historic properties located at Naval Base Kitsap-Bremerton in Washington State. The public comment period begins September 28, 2026 and ends October 19, 2026. Public comments are taken during the Section 106 process of the National Historic Preservation Act to ensure the views and concerns of the public are considered in developing the final MOA, fostering transparency and informed decision-making regarding adverse effects on historic properties.
